Colonising the solar frontier - 2129 (The Final Frontier replay)

Introduction

The fourth turn of my solo replay of The Final Frontier.

Narrative

APA manages to have the first level 3 colony – Murrua on Mars.  They now have the technology to get out to Jupiter.  The NU is still working on gathering colonists for Banbury, the Martian colony.

The ONEP is expanding its Jovian system presence with a colony n Europa (Arakurta) and another mine on its way to the Jupiter system.    TAC has founded the Izzes colony on Mars.

All powers now have colonies, with APA having the largest colony outside of Earth orbit.

Game notes

The year is 2129.

APA (NIL 1) has a GNP of 115 (100 base plus 15 income). Carryover 8BP +2BP for a total of 10BP. 10BP spent on a colony-3 and a DST, leaving 0BP. Move the colony to Mars and Murrua now at level 3. NIL increased to level 2. No event.

NU (NIL 1) has a GNP of 112 (100 base plus 12 income). Carryover 3BP +2BP for a total of 5BP.

ONEP (NIL 3) has a GNP of 108 (100 base plus 8 income). Carryover 1BP +3BP for a total of 4BP. 3BP spent on a mine and a DST, leaving 1BP. Move the colony to Europa to found Arakurta.  Move the new mine towards Jupiter.

TAC (NIL 1) has a GNP of 164 (150 base plus 14 income). Carryover 1BP +5BP for a total of 6BP. 4BP spent on operationalise Mercury colony - Izzies, leaving 2BP.

Introduction

The third turn of my solo replay of The Final Frontier.

Narrative

Both the APA and NU continue to build up colony resources.  Meanwhile ONEP and TAC continue to expand – ONEP sends a colony on its way to Europa.  The ONEP is obviously hoping to get a significant lead on the Jupiter moons and deter others from investing in the system.  TAC begins upgrading its Mercury mine to a colony.

The year is 2128.

APA (NIL 1) has a GNP of 110 (100 base plus 10 income). Carryover 6BP +2BP for a total of 8BP.

NU (NIL 1) has a GNP of 112 (100 base plus 12 income). Carryover 1BP +2BP for a total of 3BP.

ONEP (NIL 3) has a GNP of 104 (100 base plus 4 income). Carryover 3BP +3BP for a total of 6BP. 5BP spent on a colony-2 and a DPT, leaving 1BP. Move the colony towards Europa.

TAC (NIL 1) has a GNP of 159 (150 base plus 9 income). Carryover 1BP +5BP for a total of 6BP. 5BP spent on a colony-2 and a DPT, leaving 1BP. Move the colony onto Mercury (non-operational).

Introduction

The second turn of my solo replay of The Final Frontier.

Narrative

The APA continues to put out the call for colonists for Murrua (Mars) as well as building the transports to get them there.

The Northern Union gets the Ceres mine operating and also founds Banbury, a colony on Mars.  “This is a great day for the Union” as he broadcasts live from Banbury.  The APA does not offer its congratulations, unlike other powers that are happy for the NU be not in their way.

The ONEP makes good on bypassing the inner system and begins mining on Europa. It still has the technical edge on the other powers but it is a race to how fast they can continue to build up the Jovian presence compared to how well others will build up the capability to move beyond the asteroids. 

The American Co-operative completes the mines on Mercury and the Moon.  While nearly producing the same resources as the APA, the TAC still enjoys significant more space investment from Earth than everyone else.
